Again for 2008 and at a Different Location: All “A” and “B” travel team participants (coaches, assistant coaches, managers, scorekeepers, volunteers, etc.) that could possibly set foot on the softball field in ASA Championship play, MUST be ACE certified. To become ACE certified you must attend an ACE Coaching Clinic. Once you have attended the clinic you will receive an ACE Certification Card that must be carried with you for GSJSA Championship Play. The ACE Coaching Clinic is available for all organizations that wish to participate in the program. Listed below are the dates and times that GSJSA is sponsoring the clinic for your participation. In addition, if your organization has a minimum of 12 people we will run the clinic at a location of your choice. Please call us so we can make an appointment for you and your organization. If you have any questions, please email Don Smiley or you may call him at (209) 957-0889. The fee for each individual is $20.00. Clicking on the links below will show the names and organizations of the individuals who have signed up for that scheduled clinic. Most scheduled clinics will be held at All American Sports Academy, 300 W. Larch Rd. in Tracy. Any clinic that has 10 or fewer sign-ups on the Wednesday before the clinic will be canceled. We have added some clinics that will be held at the GSJSA office located at 8900 N. Thornton Rd. #19 Stockton, 95209. Please note: All ACE Level I Clinic reservations MUST be made through Don Smiley at (209) 957-0998. Please do not contact All American Sports Academy as they can not take or make your reservations. Also note that GSJSA only requires you to take the ACE test and you are not required to take part in the "All Star Clinic Program." While we believe that these clinics will be helpful in making you a better coach, the decision to attend is completely at your discretion. For more informaiton on these clinics, please click here. Anyone who was ACE certified at Level I in 2007 Must be ACE certified at Level II for 2008. Anyone who was ACE certified at Level II in 2007 Must be ACE certified at Level III for 2008. These are on line tests and can be taken at your convience. Click here for an updated list of those who have taken the Level I, II or III tests this year. For Level II or III information, please Click Here. All participants MUST use the above links to take and receive credit for taking the ACE tests. Please do not use the ASA web site to take these tests. |
